Role Overview

We are looking for a top Power Hardware Testing Engineer to join our team for a client who is a leader in the elevator industry . The position is based in Móstoles, Madrid .

Mission of this new role is to participate in the documentation process (specifications, manuals, etc). In addition, the person will test the design on Low Voltage DC power supplies and power drive inverters working with the development team and suppliers.

What we expect from you

  • Participate on the execution of tests defined in the plan to verify the hardware and software made before its validation.
  • Support the team on the product specification with test rules, market requirements and standards to meet the requirements given.
  • Prepare documentation for new projects.
  • Provide support in the preparation of technical documentation of the product (technical manuals).
  • Analyze both European and International elevator standards.
  • Analyze general regulations applicable to design.
  • Coordinate with other departments on comprehensive projects.
  • Analyze, contribute and apply global design guidelines and internal regulations.

What you are like

If you meet the following requirements, we’d love to meet you!

  • You hold a Bachelor’s and / or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • You are an innovative, analytical, communicative and decisive person among other skills. You are willing to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Minimal of 3 years on testing, design or related activities in the electronic / electrical area.
  • Knowledge on DC power supplies, AC / DC converters, DC / AC converters and related technology is a plus.
  • Experience on Power electronic PCB & PCBA design is a plus.
  • Comprehension of general electrical engineering concepts required
  • Understanding power supplies control design, programming and implementation is a plus
  • Experience with Pspice / Plecs / Matlab / Simulink or similar is a plus
  • Understanding of elevator systems and codes is a plus
  • Experience with the use of computer-assisted engineering tools (e.g. Altium Designer) is a plus
  • General knowledge of lab test equipment
  • Understanding of motor drives control design is a plus
  • Understanding digital control algorithms for 2 and 3-phase switching power converters is a plus
  • Knowledge and management of databases is a plus.
  • Requires working in lab and test tower, therefore all employees must be willing to adhere to all safety procedures and company safety standards
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written) - advanced level required.
  • Valid residence and work permit in Spain, with immediate availability to start.
