Overview

Are you a software engineer who wants to explore a future career in technical project management? This role is part of the R&D’s CAT team, who ensures that Connext software products interoperate and function as expected in customer environments. If you are interested in working hands-on with technical details—triaging test failures and improving automation—this role may be for you! This position is based in Granada, Spain.

What You’ll Do / Responsibilities

  • Develop test strategies and plans for bundle and interoperability testing.
  • Coordinate test campaigns containing manual and automated tests.
  • Provide first-level triage of issues found during testing;

work with the development team to root cause the issues.

  • Debug test cases;
  • integrate into our CI and test automation frameworks.

    What We’re Looking For / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Great project management skills to organize test campaigns and multi-task across several concurrent releases of different products.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting infrastructure-level software and have a passion for quality.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and C and are quick to learn other technologies.
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly distributed team, including headquarters in the USA.
  • Excellent English written communication skills, with the drive and desire to improve English verbal communication skills.

    Nice To Have / Preferred Skills

  • Experience testing software for embedded systems is a plus
  • Experience with a variety of embedded and enterprise operating systems
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of languages and ecosystems (Python, C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Javascript, Rust)
  • Familiarity with tools such as CMake, Make, Git, CI / CD pipelines (e.G., Jenkins), and Jira
