About the role : As a Systems & Safety Analysis Senior Engineer you will perform engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services to support operation of the nuclear power plants in the nuclear safety and performance field. You will report to the Manager, Systems & Safety Analysis, and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a full-time role.
Responsibilities Perform engineering tasks to support the operation of nuclear power plants Prepare inputs to run thermo-hydraulic codes for transient analyses
Prepare fluid systems calculations for systems sizing or performances
Calculate setpoints for nuclear power plants operation
Evaluate emergency operation procedures changes, control systems studies
Conduct thermo-hydraulic calculations for transient analyses and for systems evaluations
Assess capability of dose calculations and radiological consequences of accidents
Run codes for safety analyses purposes
Document analyses
Propose solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects
Help prepare licensing documentation
Participate in integrated and international project teams and communicate to involved parties
Occasionally travel to customer sites or to Industry Group Workshops to gather or present technical information
Qualifications Master's degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Industrial, Physics, Energy, Chemical or related fields)
7+ years working experience in safety analysis for nuclear power plants and / or systems design (fluid mechanics and thermodynamics)
Experience with : Codes (CFD, TRAC / RELAP, GOTHIC)
Programming skills
Spanish nuclear regulatory body and regulations
Fluent in English and Spanish
