Java Software Engineer

Day Rate : Negotiable. Duration : Until end of 2025 (with a view to extend further). Availability : ASAP.

About the Client

My client is the air transport industry's IT provider, delivering solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe and sustainable air travel.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will join a team for handling a system that streams data into pipelines from source to customers, aggregates into new data products and generates reports. Working within an Agile / Scrum environment.

What we are looking for

Required Skills :

• Azure including EventHubs and BLOB storages (but any cloud experience could be ok)
• Applications running as microservices managed by Kubernetes
• Interest (and possibly some experience or willingness to learn) in streaming technologies such as Apache Flink
• Interest in test automation and test tool development to support QA and speed up test activities
• Experience in applications using MongoDB and some Data Lake technologies (e.g. Apache Paimon)
• Able to verbally contribute a lot within a distributed team (many locations, all work is remote, so verbal communication is key)
• Candidate must be open to working 3 days a week in the office in Barcelona
