Senior Data Platform Engineer
Málaga Office - Hybrid : 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
Join Our Data Team at Ebury Madrid Office. Ebury’s Data team builds scalable, robust, and innovative data platforms. The Data Platform team focuses on developing and improving Ebury’s Data Platform.
Responsibilities
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of a robust data platform to be consumed across the company
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights
Drive innovation and explore emerging technologies to enhance data capabilities
Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality and security
About You
Proficiency in Python for data transformation and validation
Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets; experience with structured and unstructured data sources
Data engineering and modelling skills (e.g., slowly changing dimensions, dimensional modelling)
Graph database modelling encouraged
Hands-on experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud platforms; designing and implementing data solutions at scale
Self-motivation and curiosity; ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
Experience with GCP tools and services (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
Fluency in English (Spanish a plus)
