Job Description

SEEKING :   Senior Software Engineer (Java)

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate will lead technical initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.

TASKS & RESPONSABILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable Java applications
  • Participate in technical requirements analysis and solution design
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
  • Collaborate in release planning and effort estimations
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective solutions
  • Integrate with other systems and technologies via Rest APIS, Message / Events Queues and Files Exchange.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
  • Strong knowledge of Java EE frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA).
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (ElasticSearch, MongoDB).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful architecture and API design principles.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, JMS, MQ-Series, etc)
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

    • Nice to Have :

  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • DevOps knowledge (Concourse, Kubernetes EKS).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools or logging (ELK, Dynatrace, etc.)
  • Awareness of security best practices in software development
  • Understanding of financial services concepts and ISO-20022

    • LANGUAGE :

  • Fluent in Spanish and English- (minimum B2 level )

  • Full-time Freelance contract
  • Rate : €220 / €230 per day + VAT (according to the experience provided)
  • Long-Term Project
  • Location : Madrid (Boadilla del Monte) – Hybrid : on site 2 / 3 days per week
  • Desired start date : ASAP
