Director Capital Markets

Overview

At LHH Executive Search we are currently supporting our client, an international leader in Real Estate Services, looking for a Capital Markets Director to lead the development of the Capital Markets function in Iberia.

Reporting to the Global Head of Capital Markets and Investments, your main responsibilities will be to :

Responsibilities

• Originate and manage new mandates, leveraging an established network
• Develop strategic relationships with institutional investors, investment funds, developers, and real estate operators
• Position the company as one of the top advisors in the Spanish and Portuguese markets
• Define and implement a growth strategy for the Capital Markets division in Spain and Portugal
• Structure a dedicated team and optimize processes to ensure efficiency and scalability
• Analyze market trends to identify investment opportunities and emerging trends
• Ensure the achievement of budget and profitability targets
• Optimize pricing and negotiation strategies to maximize financial performance
• Monitor KPIs and transaction performance to drive strategic decisions
• Build and expand a strong network of investors, developers, and real estate stakeholders
• Strengthen the presence of the company in the market through events, conferences, and strategic marketing initiatives
• Regain at least 30% of market share within a medium-term horizon

Qualifications

We are looking for a recognized market leader with a well-established network and extensive experience in Capital Markets, M&A, and Real Estate. You will bring a minimum of 15 years of experience in the market, with an extensive network and the ability to bring in new mandates. In addition, you will have strong commercial, networking, and leadership skills to manage high-profile teams and clients, with a results-driven mindset and a proven track record of achieving ambitious business objectives. For this, advanced expertise in financial modeling, structuring deals, and M&A-driven transactions is key. Fluency in English is required and knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
