We are seeking a talented Data Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure Synapse to drive data engineering and migration initiatives for one of our esteemed customers in the asset and capital management sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge data solutions while thriving in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Your main tasks and accountabilities will be :

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics .

Build and manage data pipelines, data integration workflows, and ETL / ELT processes.

Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Optimize performance of data flows, queries, and pipelines within Synapse.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.

Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

Document solution designs, workflows, and technical implementations to maintain transparency and clarity.

What do we expect from you?

Proven hands-on experience in Azure Synapse Analytics , including designing and developing solutions.

Proven expertise in developing and managing data pipelines, integrations, and ETL / ELT processes, leveraging Python for seamless data transformation and workflow automation.

Advanced proficiency in SQL with a focus on query optimization.

Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and associated concepts.

Experience with Azure Data Factory and related Azure data services.

Working knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance principles.

Fluent in English with outstanding communication and documentation skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a distributed team environment.

Familiarity with tools like Spark, Anaconda, or Python notebooks (nice to have).

Exposure to Snowflake, Power BI, or other cloud data platforms (nice to have).

Familiarity with DevOps tools - Git, Azure DevOps (nice to have).

Prior experience with nearshore or remote delivery models (nice to have).

Availability to travel to the client's headquarters in London once a year.
