We are looking for a Tool Expert – Integration & Doc-as-Code to join an international project for a leading German company in the automotive sector . You will be part of a multicultural engineering team, working on the continuous improvement of documentation and integration workflows within a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and improve doc-as-code workflows , maintaining and extending Sphinx-Needs modules and ensuring compatibility with the latest upstream releases.
  • Develop and operate integration layers that connect different MBSE tools (e.g., IBM DOORS Next, Rhapsody) via APIs and ReqIF, ensuring synchronization and traceability between engineering artifacts.
  • Enhance documentation processes to integrate MBSE artifacts and achieve model-aligned, traceable documentation workflows.
  • Maintain an internal starter project for Sphinx-Needs configurations within the MB context, including templates, training materials, and community guidance.
  • Collaborate with internal and open-source communities , coordinating merge requests and fostering adoption of doc-as-code best practices.

Required Experience

  • Several years of experience in tool development or process automation , ideally within regulated environments (automotive, aerospace, etc.).
  • Strong Python skills , with experience working with REST APIs and data formats (ReqIF, JSON, XML, YAML).
  • Knowledge of automotive frameworks (ASPICE, SAFe) and functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
  • Familiarity with Bash scripting and Linux-based environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills .
  • Full professional proficiency in English .

    • 📍 Location : 100% Remote (Spain)

    ⏰ Schedule : Flexible hours, with short Fridays

    🌍 Language : English (working language) — Spanish B2 is a plus
