Financial Analyst

SP i-Dositecno is a fast-growing designer and manufacturer of high technology sterile filling systems for the pharmaceutical industry. The company is part of SP Industries, an international group based in the USA, specialized in laboratory equipment, pharmaceutical manufacturing solutions and laboratory supplies.We are looking to engage an Assistant Controller. She / He will be an integral part of financial team, responsible for ensuring compliance and accounting for customer contracts that require both percentage-of-completion and completed contracts methodologies. This includes ensuring timely accumulation and review of project costing and related activities, assessment of costs elements including labor, materials, and production in relation to project budgets, assessment of estimated costs-to-complete, appropriate calculation and recording of revenue recognition, and backlog. This position will report to the Financial Director and work closely with Project Management and Operations in carrying out the position responsibilities.

• Essential duties and responsibilities
• Review project-bid and contract details, understand the nature of the contract offering, establish the project budget in the project tracking, and support the Project Team in Project Kick-Off activities.- Review project costing activity on a weekly and monthly basis. Provide insight on costs incurred relative to budget and estimates-to-complete. Represent finance and support project management in the monthly project review process.- Conduct variance analysis to show management how the budget and / or rolling forecast compares against actual performance.- Ensure month end accounting in accordance with IFRS including revenue recognition, cost contingencies, and balance sheet classification of project related activities.- Assist with the monthly financial closing.- Create and distribute multiple weekly and monthly reports.- Support the Financial Director in other areas such as cash-flow projections, business monthly reports and monthly P&L rolling forecast preparation.- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives with finance and operations teams.
• Requirements
• : - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, BA or Finance.- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a controlling / financial position in industrial / manufacturing company.- Strong technical and analytical skill with solid financial, GAAP accounting background in a manufacturing or capital equipment environment.- IFRS / USGAAP experience is a plus.- Previous experience in audit firm will be a plus.

• A results-oriented individual with strong technical accounting and analytical skills including background in a project costing environment.- Good interpersonal skills, with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both within and across business units- Advanced Excel Skills.- Business fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish

• ONSITE
• in Mataró (Barcelona). Partially remote work option possible.- Due to office location, must have own vehicle and full driving license.
