Overview

This is a Digital Opportunities Traineeship (DOT). If you want to apply for this internship, you have to be a student or recently graduated based in one of the 33 Programme Countries participating in Erasmus+ or the Horizon 2020 Associated Countries. About Placenet

Placenet is a Barcelona-based startup creating the Internet of Places (IoP). Our social app connects people who share the same physical space – cafés, parks, events, universities – enabling real-time chats, activities, and community content. We believe technology should help people socialize and create meaningful connections in the places they are, here and now.

Role

We are looking for a Community and Content Intern who loves creating content that brings people together. Your role will be to help us grow Placenet’s community by designing interactive content, challenges, and campaigns that inspire users to connect with others in their city or event.

Tasks

Create engaging social content (posts, stories, videos) that encourages people to meet and interact.

Support online / offline activations that connect people in real places (universities, events, neighborhoods).

Manage and animate Placenet’s community through interactive formats (questions, challenges, games).

Explore viral trends and adapt them to our context of socialization and community.

Help shape the voice of Placenet towards a young, social, international audience.

Profile

Student or recent graduate in Communication, Media, Marketing, or related areas.

Outgoing personality, passion for meeting people and creating social experiences.

Strong interest in social media, digital communities, and trends.

Good communication skills in English (Spanish or Catalan is a plus).

Creative skills with design / video tools are a bonus (Canva, CapCut, etc.).
