About the Role

A Cybersecurity Specialist protects Kyndryl’s customers’ computer systems and networks from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification or destruction. The role uses a variety of tools and techniques to defend against malware, ransomware, phishing attacks, data breaches and other cyber threats. In addition, the specialist implements new cybersecurity systems and policies, monitors potential threats, conducts proof‑of‑concepts, builds automation scripts for threat hunting and performs penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and root‑cause analyses. The position also offers opportunities to innovate and experiment with cutting‑edge security concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review security events from multiple cybersecurity systems.
  • Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of applications, operating systems and networks.
  • Respond to cybersecurity breaches, identify intrusions and perform root‑cause analysis.
  • Implement security solutions and automate threat‑hunting scripts.
  • Evaluate and integrate new security software and technologies through proof‑of‑concepts.
  • Contribute to security knowledge sharing and best‑practice development.
  • Participate in security innovation projects that explore new ideas and technologies.

Required Skills And Experience

2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity field

Expertise in network routing and switching, network troubleshooting, engineering, infrastructure, load balancing and VPNs

Proficiency in cloud computing and security architecture, hybrid and multi‑cloud deployments

Knowledge of vulnerability scanning, application security, penetration testing, encryption, threat modeling, identity and access management, and secure coding

Familiarity with incident response, security operations, vulnerability management, IT security architecture, risk management, threat hunting and cybersecurity standards

Preferred Skills And Experience

Valid certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCSP, or GIAC Security Essentials

Security Operations Center experience

Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools

Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms

Experience with anti‑virus, vulnerability management scanning and remediation

Technical architecture and DevSecOps practice experience

Experience advising senior executives

Knowledge of emerging security technologies such as AI / ML in security, zero‑trust architecture and secure remote access solutions
