This is a chance to : Contribute directly to the development of core LiDAR technologies Gain exposure to multidisciplinary engineering (photonics, optics, electronics, mechanics) Work in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment Grow your skills through mentorship and real-world problem solving Internship Tracks We offer internship opportunities in the following areas : Photonics Automate photonic chip characterization workflows Design novel on-chip components using commercial foundry PDKs for FMCW LiDAR Contribute to custom assembly and packaging automation for photonic chips Optics Support alignment and assembly of optical systems Electronics Design and test ASICs for Ommatidia’s LiDAR platforms Develop PCB boards for ASIC signal processing Create short-range Bluetooth-based communication systems between ASICs and PCB boards Mechanics Perform thermal analysis of antenna systems, modeling in FreeCAD and AutoCAD Analyze thermal effects of ASICs on FVA and microlens gluing Develop a digital twin of chip packaging systems, including Python-based FreeCAD macros Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Photonics, or a related field Strong foundation in at least one of the listed tracks (photonics, optics, electronics, or mechanics) Problem-solving mindset and enthusiasm for hands-on innovation Lastly and most importantly, absolute passion for working in technology, which means willing to think as, perform up to and even transform into, a machine.
