Senior Power Supply Design Engineer

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Supply Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-performance DC / DC and AC / DC power supplies up to 1kW. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in power electronics and a proven track record of successful power supply designs.

Design and Development :

Lead the design and development of DC / DC and AC / DC power supply system’s up to 1kW.

Create detailed electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs.

Develop innovative solutions to meet performance, efficiency, and cost targets.

Prototyping and Testing :

Build and test prototypes to verify design performance and reliability.

Perform detailed design verification testing, including thermal analysis, EMI / EMC testing, and regulatory compliance.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.

Project Management :

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality designs.

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize design for manufacturability.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

8+ years of experience in power supply design, focusing on DC / DC and AC / DC converters.

~ Deep understanding of power electronics, magnetics, and thermal management.

Proficiency in simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB / Simulink, or equivalent.

Hands-on experience with PCB design software (e.G., Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.

Experience with digital control of power supplies.
