The new Fire Engineering service will work closely with their existing M&E / sustainability services, to deliver comprehensive, interdisciplinary solutions. If you are an experienced, passionate and entrepreneurial individual, you will have the chance to play a key role in the next phase of the company’s journey and take your career to the next level.
The role
You will be providing technical fire engineering advice on a range of building types at design, construction and in occupation phases.
Your responsibilities will include :
Take a lead role in developing and growing the firm’s fire engineering capabilityFire impact and optimisation analysisDesign and specification of fire protection systemsProduce fire strategy documents and fire safety management plans for new and existing buildingsAdvise on fire safety measures at design and construction stagesProvide technical advice on safe building occupancy levels, fire evacuation plans etc.Visit project / construction sites to advise on the installation or implementation of the designsProvide strategic industry insights and leadershipKey skills and experience :
A degree or professional diploma in fire engineering, fire safety engineering or equivalentAt least 5 years post-graduate work experience in a fire engineering design / consultancy roleExcellent understanding of UK fire safety legislation and standardsMembership of the Institution of Fire Engineers or Institute for Fire Safety Managers - desirableSignificant experience of implementing fire engineering solutions in a range of settingsExcellent knowledge of the current and emerging fire safety legislation frameworkEntrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and growthCould this be the next chapter of your career??
