Commercial Excellence Leader – Europe (Remote / Hybrid)

A leading organisation in the biopharmaceutical services sector is looking for a Commercial Excellence Leader to strengthen and optimise its commercial strategy across Europe. This is a senior role focused on driving performance, alignment, and efficiency across the sales and business development organisation.

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement commercial excellence frameworks, tools, and best practices across the region.
  • Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Marketing to ensure consistent execution of strategy.
  • Drive sales effectiveness by developing processes for pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning.
  • Lead commercial analytics, reporting, and performance measurement to provide data-driven insights.
  • Deliver training and capability-building programmes to enhance sales and BD effectiveness.
  • Support strategic planning, territory design, and resource allocation to maximise growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams to align regional activities with broader business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree desirable.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations, or Strategy within the life sciences, CDMO, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle and CDMO business models.
  • Track record of implementing commercial processes, systems, and tools that drive measurable impact.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Fluent in English (other European languages a plus).
  • Ability to work independently, with flexibility to travel across Europe as needed.
