About the opportunity
The Business Audit Senior Manager will examine and assess, in a risk-oriented and process-independent manner, the effectiveness and appropriateness of the risk management system and internal control system. This includes all activities and processes, whether outsourced or not.
Responsibilities include :
- Supporting all internal audit activities for N26 SE / N26 Bank SE, including external contractors.
- Leading the full audit cycle, including risk management and control management, to evaluate business operations' effectiveness, reliability, and compliance.
- Preparing and updating a comprehensive, risk-oriented audit plan annually.
- Auditing all activities and processes of N26 SE / N26 Bank SE, including outsourced and subsidiary operations, typically within three years.
- Executing the annual and multi-year audit plan, focusing on N26’s Spain Branch.
- Preparing internal audit reports.
- Ensuring audits comply with professional and regulatory standards.
- Supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Drafting reports on each audit and presenting findings to management.
- Communicating audit results to operational units.
- Monitoring the implementation of audit findings within agreed timeframes.
- Participating in key projects while maintaining independence and avoiding conflicts of interest.
- Conducting special audits as needed, such as addressing deficiencies or informational requests.
- Providing quarterly and annual reports to the management board and committees.
- Supporting the maintenance of internal audit policies and procedures.
- Responding to regulatory and supervisory requests as necessary.
Qualifications for success :
Degree in economics or equivalent training.At least 7 years of experience as an Internal Auditor in an international, regulated environment, preferably in banking or financial services.Strong process understanding and knowledge of online banking and retail products.Deep knowledge of Spanish banking laws, AML, consumer protection regulations, and other relevant laws.Good understanding of banking laws, requirements, and IT systems, with willingness to learn local regulations.Proficiency in English and Spanish; additional European languages are a plus.What’s in it for you :
