Product Management Consultant

We are seeking a highly capable Product Management Consultant to join our team delivering next-generation retail payment infrastructure for European financial institutions. You will support the Product Manager overseeing a cross-functional, international team operating under SAFe methodology.

This is a critical execution role bridging strategy and delivery. You will translate institutional requirements into executable work, coordinate development across multiple agile teams, manage the product backlog, and ensure seamless delivery of one of Europe's most strategic financial infrastructure initiatives.

The Project

You will contribute to building regulated payment infrastructure that will serve as foundational architecture for retail transactions across multiple European jurisdictions. This platform represents a historic shift : enabling central bank money to operate alongside retail digital payment rails, enhancing monetary sovereignty, payment resilience, and financial inclusion across the eurozone.

The infrastructure operates under strict central bank oversight and must meet the highest standards of security, scalability, and interoperability.

Laminar works alongside a consortium of European national central banks through a collaborative development process. Following successful completion of design and preparation phases, the platform is now in active development.

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery & Execution

Coordinate the conceptualization of client objectives and solution requirements into Epics and Capabilities.

Own and manage the product backlog : define, prioritize, and maintain alignment with strategic program objectives.

Coordinate the delivery cycle across Program Increments (PI) : PI Planning, tracking, QA, dependency management, Inspect & Adapt and reporting.

Participate in agile ceremonies across development sprints.

Quality & Validation

Validate that developments meet functional requirements and acceptance criteria : Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).

Support integration, acceptance, end-to-end, and functional testing.

Drive continuous improvement in functionality, performance, and operations.

Risk & Stakeholder Management

Identify, analyze, mitigate, and escalate project and operational risks.

Communicate status, blockers, decisions, and escalations to senior stakeholders.

Monitorize product delivery plan with development teams.

Coordinate with the Client, Solution Architecture, Functional Certification and Operations Management teams.

What We're Looking For

Required

• 4-6 years of experience in product management or technical project delivery in agile environments
• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
• English C1 level (working language of the project)
• Proven experience translating business requirements into executable work in Scrum / Kanban environments
• Technical fluency to interface effectively with software development teams
• Experience in stakeholder communication, risk management, quality assurance, and backlog prioritization

Highly Valued

• Knowledge of payment systems, payment infrastructure, or central bank digital currencies (CBDCs)
• Experience working within SAFe framework (SAFe PO / PM certification a strong plus)
• Autonomy, leadership, and strong prioritization skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Clear, concise communication (written and oral) focused on execution, risks, and results
• Process improvement mindset (deliver faster, smoother, higher quality)
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence (backlog management, reporting, documentation)
• Experience in international projects or working with cross-border stakeholders
