DESARROLLADOR R&D PRODUCTION SOFTWARE EQUIPO KMS

Overview

At Giesecke+Devrient, a global leader in SmartCards and Secure Payment Elements, we are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our R&D Production Software Department in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona).

In this team, we develop internal software applications for the production of cards – primarily credit cards and SIM cards – using Microsoft Visual Studio and mainly the C# programming language. Your work will help streamline production processes, optimize workflows, and support our R&D and industrialization efforts.

You will join a collaborative and innovative environment where your contributions directly impact the efficiency, reliability, and quality of the products used by millions of people worldwide.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve internal production applications to enhance efficiency and support R&D activities.

Program and validate software following company quality and security procedures.

Prepare technical documentation and user manuals for internal tools.

Provide user training and handle second-level support for production software.

Collaborate with production, R&D, and IT teams to identify needs and implement improvements.

Your Profile

Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Strong knowledge of OOP and programming languages such as C# and / or Visual C++.

At least 4 years’ experience in software development, ideally in industrial or production environments.

Valuable Additional Skills

Microsoft platforms (Visual Studio, .NET – WCF, WP)

Databases (MS SQL Server)

Cryptography knowledge

Experience in embedded software or device control applications.

Qualifications

English level C1 minimum (reading documentation, writing emails, presenting technical topics). A test will be conducted during the interview.
