We are seeking skilled psychiatrists to join a well-established and highly specialized psychiatric clinic in southwest Sweden. About the clinic

The psychiatric clinic provides comprehensive mental health services, including inpatient care with a 24 / 7 emergency unit and outpatient general psychiatry services. The inpatient care consists of four general psychiatry wards, as well as additional beds for forensic psychiatry with integrated outpatient services. The clinic also has specialized units, including :

  • Early intervention in psychosis (NIP)
  • Digital ADHD services
  • Geriatric psychiatry
  • Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST)
  • Comprehensive eating disorder care for all age groups
  • Neuromodulation treatments, including brain stimulation therapy

The clinic treats patients across all psychiatric diagnostic areas, creating a stimulating workplace for psychiatrists with either a broad generalist profile or a specialized focus.

Your role

As a specialist in psychiatry, you will be an essential part of a multidisciplinary team working to provide high-quality mental health care. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Collaborating with a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other specialists.
  • Providing supervision and mentorship to junior doctors and residents (ST-läkare).
  • Contributing to the development of psychiatric services, treatment methods, and patient care.
  • Requirements

  • Holds an EU-recognized specialist certification in psychiatry.
  • Strong communication skills in English and a willingness to learn Swedish.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in general psychiatry or a specific subspecialty is welcome.
