Your ChallengeWe seek a skilled Platform Engineer to join our team and take charge of operating and developing Nimbus, the cutting-edge cloud development platform for software products. As the backbone of our development infrastructure, Nimbus provides a seamless environment for our teams to design, build, test, and deploy applications efficiently. We work exclusively for LGT Private Bank group and provide our colleagues in IT and business with a highly functional and reliable infrastructure. Your ProfileThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in Platform Engineering, Cloud technologies, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices. Experience with containerization, orchestration tools, and scripting languages is essential. A deep understanding of software development lifecycle and the ability to work collaboratively with product development teams is crucial for success in this role. Join us in shaping the future of software development by creating an innovative and efficient cloud platform that empowers developers to build amazing applicationsThe following specific skills / experience are required : 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or a similar roleSaaS Backend development, preferably in GoStrong experience with Azure cloud services, particularly AKSProficient in container orchestration and Kubernetes administrationExperience with Crossplane for infrastructure orchestrationExpertise in developing custom Kubernetes operators using KubebuilderGood understanding of main network concepts (TCP / IP layers, DNS, HTTP, Routing)Strong knowledge of policy engines (Kyverno and OPA Gatekeeper)Experience with secret management solutions (External Secrets, Azure Key Vault, CSI drivers)Hands-on experience with CNI plugins and network configurationsExpertise in implementing and managing ingress / egress controllersScaled Observability with Open Telemetry, Mesh and eBPF ToolingStrong programming skills in Golang for backend servicesAdvanced knowledge of scaled-up GitLab CI / CD and GitOps practicesExperience with Infrastructure as and from Code (IaC & IfC)Understanding of container security and network policiesEnglish Business fluentLocation : Barcelona, SpainThe job offers a hybrid office modality with a minimum office presence of 2 days.
