Cloud Backup Engineer

Overview

HCLTech Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain. We are looking for an expert to work as Cloud Backup Engineer!

Our goal is to strengthen the brand in Spain.

What you need to fulfill this job

• At least 5 years experience managing Backup Infrastructure
• Experience managing and working with remote teams
• Ability to document procedures, create runbooks, and maintain knowledge bases.
• Experience working with multi-national environment
• Backup tool administrator (CommVault preferible.) Also valid : NetBackup or Networker
• Strong experience as an enterprise backup administrator.
• Hands-on expertise with CommVault, NetBackup, EMC Networker, or equivalent backup solutions.
• Experience in backup policies creation, job scheduling, restore / recovery operations, and troubleshooting backup failures.
• Familiarity with backup reporting, monitoring dashboards, and alerts.
• Knowledge of data retention policies, archiving, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Basic to intermediate experience with Windows and Linux system administration.
• Understanding of storage systems (SAN, NAS, Nutanix, VMware vSAN, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot storage-related issues affecting backup performance.
• Automation & Scripting - Knowledge of PowerShell. Bash, Python for automation of virtualization tasks (Ansible)
• Basic knowledge of AWS Cloud services
• Familiarity with backup tools for virtual environments (e.g. Commvault, Networker)
• Understanding of patching upgrades for Windows or Linux OS (Altiris, SuMa)
• Basic knowledge of DB engines (SQL and Oracle)
