Join British American Institute for the 2025–2026 Academic Year

British American Institute is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English teacher to join our team for the upcoming academic year and beyond. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and teenagers, and who may also be able to teach Cambridge First (FCE) and Advanced (CAE) preparation classes, depending on student groups.

Contract dates : October 1st – end of school year

Pay : 17 per standard class | €20 per Cambridge exam class

Responsibilities

Teach small groups (maximum 12 students)

Deliver lessons following provided course material, with the freedom to incorporate your own games and activities

Assess students through mid-term and end-of-term exams

Write progress reports for each student at the end of each term

Qualifications

Classroom experience with children and teenagers essential

CELTA, TEFL or equivalent teaching certification essential

Experience preparing students for Cambridge exams a plus

Native-level or C1 / C2 proficiency in English

Applicants are asked to only apply if they already live in, or have concrete plans to move to, the Barcelona / Maresme area
