PowerUp Talent is proud to partner with a global leader in the mobile games industry to find their next Head of Game Design. This role sits within their New games Department, a creative hub dedicated to shaping the future of mobile gaming through cutting-edge concepts, data-driven insights, and bold experimentation.

We are looking for an insightful and innovative leader with a growth-hacker mindset — someone who can identify opportunities, anticipate market trends, and translate them into commercially successful game concepts. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you'll guide and inspire a talented design team while collaborating closely with product and leadership stakeholders to build the next generation of top-performing mobile games.

Key Responsibilities Innovation Through Market Insight : Anticipate and interpret market trends to generate fresh, high-potential game ideas.

Data-Driven Concept Development : Collaborate with Product Owners and designers, using player feedback, analytics, and UA metrics to refine and optimize concepts.

Growth-Focused Design : Apply a growth-hacker's approach to user acquisition, experimenting with new strategies to drive engagement and growth.

Creative Leadership : Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Product Owners, balancing creativity with data-driven decision-making.

Strategic Collaboration : Partner with Innovation Lab leadership and other departments to align design goals with business objectives.

Hands-On Problem Solving : Support your team in making key product decisions and pivoting when needed to hit targets.

Trend Spotting : Stay ahead of evolving game design practices, monetization techniques, and UA innovations.

Project Oversight : Ensure design quality, usability, and player engagement across all projects.

Cross-Functional Alignment : Build bridges with insights, R&D, and other internal teams to maximize collaboration and innovation.

Key Requirements Experience : 10+ years in mobile game development, with at least 5 years in a Game Design leadership role.

Proven Track Record : Hands-on experience creating and launching successful top-grossing mobile titles.

Growth-Hacker Mentality : Strong grasp of user acquisition principles and data-driven experimentation.

Leadership & Communication : Excellent ability to inspire teams, present ideas, and advocate for innovative solutions.

Technical Acumen : Comfortable with analytics tools, UA dashboards, in-game economy systems, and mathematical modeling.
