JOIN VERDALIA BIOENERGY : Pioneers in Europe’s Energy Transition
At Verdalia, backed by Goldman Sachs, we are leading the transformation toward a circular economy in Europe by converting organic waste into biomethane, biofertilizers, and bio CO₂. With over €1 billion invested and operations in Spain, Italy, and soon other European countries, we seek talent driven by sustainability, innovation, and industrial excellence.
We recently closed a historic €671 million corporate financing with a group of leading national and international banks and institutional investors to accelerate our biomethane portfolio in Spain and Italy. This is one of the largest financings in the European biomethane sector to date and the first corporate infrastructure financing transaction for a majority-new company.
Mission :
To ensure that all electrical and control deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable regulations, good engineering practices, and criteria for operability and industrial safety. Actively participate in the design phase, technical documentation review, and system commissioning support.
Responsibilities
- Technical review of electrical and control engineering documents : single-line diagrams, multi-line diagrams, P&IDs, signal lists, I / O lists, network architectures, loop diagrams, and control philosophies.
- Validation of technical specifications for instrumentation, control equipment, variable frequency drives (VFDs), control panels, PLCs, and SCADA.
- Evaluation of regulatory compliance.
- Coordination with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure consistency across specialties (process, mechanical, electrical, civil).
- Review of control logic and PLC programming (according to client standards) and automation architectures.
- Analysis of electrical risks, functional safety, and control system reliability.
- Participation in design reviews (HAC, HAZOP, FAT, SAT), ensuring technical quality and operative functionality.
- Preparation of review reports, observation matrices, and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Support during commissioning, integration testing, and system startup phases.
