Senior Propulsion System Firmware Specialist

Role Overview

The Firmware Developer will be responsible for all firmware development related to our ATHENA Nano propulsion system. This includes leading the design, development, testing, and maintenance of firmware.

As a key member of the Electrical Engineering and Electronics team, this role requires a proactive engineer who can prioritize tasks effectively, work with agility, and take full ownership of firmware development.

Design and Development : Define and structure firmware components to create a modular, scalable, and maintainable system.

Technical Feasibility Assessment : Evaluate design concepts and propose robust technical solutions.

Testing and Verification : Develop and execute automated and manual tests to validate firmware performance and reliability.

System Integration : Collaborate closely with the hardware team to ensure seamless integration of firmware into our propulsion systems.

Documentation and Reviews : Participate in design and milestone reviews, ensuring the highest quality and alignment with project goals.

Requirements and Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in firmware development, with strong coding skills in C and knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously.

Fluent communication skills in spoken and written English.
