Responsibilities
- Maintain and review appropriate risk assessments and safe systems of work, analyzing causations, trends, resolving problems, and developing improvements for HS management system standards to enhance our safety culture.
- Establish HS goals, evaluate outcomes with management, and initiate HS programs to improve safety performance and culture.
- Conduct safety communications within work groups, encouraging management and employees to engage and foster correct attitudes towards health and safety.
- Identify training and certification needs to comply with legislation, codes of practice, and HS guidance, informing senior management accordingly.
- Provide effective leadership and serve as a role model in shaping the company's health and safety culture.
- Ensure all employees, visitors, and vendors comply with local HS policies and procedures.
- Conduct and review all assessments required by legislation, maintaining proper records.
- Advise on PPE standards issued to employees.
- Maintain up-to-date HS records and training documentation in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Establish, test, and clearly publish emergency procedures.
- Report, investigate, and implement corrective actions for accidents and incidents within designated timescales.
- Ensure full compliance with all HS regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Correct unsafe acts immediately and investigate unsafe conditions, escalating unresolved issues as per company policy.
