We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Browser Product Team. Reporting to the Manager Software Development Engineering in Spain, you will be working remotely and you’ll be responsible for :

Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining operating system-specific agent applications for Windows OR Mac with potential Linux development.

Performing implementation work for features supporting secure communication with Zscaler’s cloud services or browser extensions.

Collaborating with a team to refine feature requirements, producing system designs and delivering reliable software.

Exhibiting ownership of contributed features and systems by participating in resolving real-time production issues when required.

Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code, iteratively following Agile development practices.

What We Are Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

3 years of experience in professional software development using Go, Rust, C, or C++ in building desktop or system-level applications.

Experience developing software with minimal UI elements such as background processes or backend agents.

Understanding of HTTP and RPC communication protocols.

Ability to read and contribute to technical design documents.

Strong foundational skills in software engineering and flexibility in adapting to new tools.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Familiarity or willingness to contribute to JavaScript-based browser extension development.

Hands-on experience creating or working on modern CI / CD pipelines.

Prior experience integrating apps with cloud services or third-party APIs.
