Housekeeping Management Position
We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service throughout our staterooms and public areas.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with senior management to schedule and supervise the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping team.
- Direct, coach, support, supervise, and evaluate the performance of all direct reports.
- Manage the assignment of duties, responsibilities, and workstations to staff members.
- Develop, observe, and evaluate staff and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service are met.
- Present operational needs to senior management for final approval.
- Review the requirements of the day's schedules, guest requirements, and other related details.
- Perform daily meetings with staff to review changes and / or revisions to programming based on itinerary, weather conditions, demographics, etc.
- Respond to guest concerns in a considerate, professional, and positive manner by showing empathy and listening actively.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that company standards are followed and maintained continuously.
Qualifications :
One to two years of experience in a similar role within an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise line (shipboard experience preferred).Minimum one to two years previous cleaning experience, preferably in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise line (shipboard experience preferred).Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment.Ability to use excellent communication skills to satisfy guests in a manner consistent with quality service standards.Exceptional management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.Superior leadership, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills.Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing personalized services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills.Languages :
Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French, or German is preferred.
