As part of a strategic interim management mission aimed at supporting the turnaround of one of our clients — an international investment fund — we are looking for an experienced Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) (M / F) to lead the financial and organizational operations of its Spanish subsidiary based in Madrid.
The assignment takes place in a context of financial and operational restructuring , involving significant political and media challenges .
Mission
The CRO will oversee all strategic, financial, and operational aspects of the business, with a strong focus on finance and general management , including :
Leading the company’s global turnaround plan : performance analysis, definition of financial and operational priorities, and implementation of corrective actions.
Supervising day-to-day financial management and debt restructuring , in close coordination with the investment fund and local stakeholders.
Acting as the representative of the fund within the executive management team : financial reporting, governance, and performance monitoring.
Challenging the existing organization and supporting the transformation of internal processes (finance, procurement, operations).
Ensuring continuity of field operations across a large multi-site network, in close collaboration with regional managers.
Leading and supporting local teams to restore stability and profitability.
Required profile
Proven experience in financial management and corporate turnaround (CRO, CFO, or CEO roles in crisis contexts).
Dual skill set combining General Management and Finance, with a strong operational finance background.
Significant experience in restructuring, turnaround, or crisis management within multi-site organizations.
Strong knowledge of the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector or retail with high-volume point-of-sale operations (mandatory).
Ability to operate effectively in complex, high-pressure environments with significant governance challenges.
Solid expertise in financial analysis, cash management, budgeting, and debt restructuring.
Strong leadership, pragmatism, and adaptability.
Languages : Fluent Spanish and English (French is a plus).
Based in Madrid, or willing to reside there for the full duration of the mission.
