Spain, France, and Portugal
The
Legal Counsel – Southern Europe
serves as the principal legal advisor for the group’s operations in the Southern European region. The role provides comprehensive legal support across Spain, France, and Portugal, including
contract drafting and negotiation
regulatory compliance
legal risk management
, and
corporate governance
implementation of compliance programs
and group-wide governance initiatives.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including supply agreements, sales contracts, IT and data processing agreements, and NDAs.
Support public and private sector tender processes in compliance with applicable legal frameworks.
Provide timely and pragmatic legal advice to management and operational teams.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal corporate policies.
Coordinate and manage external legal advisors and maintain relationships with law firms and legal service providers.
Assist in resolving disputes and managing legal claims, protecting the group’s interests.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and conduct legal research to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.
Deliver legal training sessions and provide guidance to local management and staff.
Support the development and implementation of corporate governance frameworks, internal policies, and compliance programs.
Qualified legal professional in
Spain
or another relevant
European jurisdiction
(preferably
France
or
Italy ).
Between 4 and 6 years
of post-qualification experience in
corporate law
commercial contracts
, and
compliance
Experience with
international legal matters
and the ability to operate effectively within
multicultural environments
Fluency in
Spanish
and
English
is required; proficiency in
French
Italian
, or
Portuguese
is considered an advantage.
Strong analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to provide independent and solution-oriented legal advice.
Flexible working arrangements with regular travel across Southern Europe.
