We are looking for our Accounting Team Lead based in Barcelona, Spain to oversee all accounting operations globally

Your responsibilities and goals will include

• Responsible for statutory accounting and tax accounting of a few countries
• Responsible for performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting requirements, including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of activities, and reporting. Specific areas of responsibility include primary ownership of the accounting process, various judgmental accruals, and reserves, as well as assistance with other miscellaneous close activities.
• This role will require the holder to improve existing processes but also support and lead the design and implementation of new processes.
• The ability to bring new ideas to the business, interact with senior leaders and help influence the direction and decision making of the Portuguese business.
• Creation of accounting policies and implementation
• Accounts receivable and Accounts payable accounting and reconciliation with suppliers and customers.
• Develop and update processes and procedures around billing and collections.
• Work with internal and external auditors.
• Provide support for the integration of the new ERP System.
• Preparation of statutory accounting and management accounting policies.
• Consistently evaluate areas for process improvement and automation.
• Participate in ad hoc analytics, projects, and initiatives
