We are looking for an expert in data modeling , with experience leading the definition and governance of complex enterprise data models, and a passion for driving excellence in data management and exploitation.

WHAT WOULD YOU NEED?✍️

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data modeling , with a strong focus on conceptual and logical data modeling in complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience in defining, documenting, and governing large-scale Core Data Models .
  • Deep understanding of various data modeling technique s (ERD, Dimensional Modeling, Anchor Modeling).
  • Strong knowledge of d ata governance and data quality principles.
  • Expert proficiency with data modeling tools ( Erwin, Sparx Enterprise Archite ct, SQL Developer Data Modeler, ER / Studio).
  • Solid understanding of database technologie s (relational, NoSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with d ata integration patterns and technologies (ETL / ELT).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in an IT company specializing in data platforms is a significant plus.
  • C1 level of English
  • Live in Valencia

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Lead the definition, design, and evolution of the company’s Core Data Model (CDM ), ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance processes, version control, and change management for the CDM.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for the CDM : conceptual, logical, and physical models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to formalize requirements and translate them into clear, accurate data models.
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit detailed data requirements and resolve ambiguities.
  • Act as the primary arbitrator for change requests to the CDM, evaluating impacts and negotiating with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the data platform team to ensure the CDM enables efficient and effective data exploitation.
  • Design models optimized for data warehousing, analytical reporting, and advanced analytics use cases.
  • Provide guidance and support to data engineers and data scientists on best practices for leveraging the CDM.
  • Promote data modeling best practices and standards across the organization.
  • Mentor junior data modelers and contribute to the growth of data modeling expertise within the company.
