Job Description

The Internal Platform is a critical foundation that accelerates product development by providing a reliable, scalable, and self-service ecosystem. It supports the entire software lifecycle, tailored to meet our technological needs and strategic goals. The platform enables development teams to operate autonomously in 80% of cases, ensuring compliance, security, and business continuity, and safeguarding service reliability and data integrity.

The Platform Engineering team, consisting of 34 members including 27 individual contributors, 2 Staff Engineers, 4 Engineering Managers, and the Head of Internal Platform, plays a vital role in maintaining a reliable and scalable infrastructure.

The Platform Security team is the first contact for the Global Security Team, responsible for the security and integrity of our infrastructure, defending against vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks.

Key challenges include understanding and integrating diverse technology stacks across our complex organization, ensuring system scalability and reliability as we grow, and maintaining security standards.

You will work closely with stakeholders such as Global Security, PMS teams, the Core Internal Platform team, Experience Teams, and Legal to ensure platform security and compliance, supporting secure migrations, and enhancing security posture through various initiatives.

Impact areas include ensuring platform compliance with industry standards (ISO27001, C5, SOC2), introducing security throughout the platform lifecycle, and optimizing system scalability and cost efficiency. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, CI / CD pipelines, and ensuring high availability of services, along with fixing urgent issues and supporting team members.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of security-related experience.

Extensive experience with Kubernetes and securing container orchestration platforms.

Knowledge of security-focused CNI / Service Mesh (e.g., Calico, Cilium).

Experience with vulnerability management at scale and Hashicorp Vault.

Proficiency with Terraform, CI / CD tools, AWS, network security services (AWS WAF, Cloudflare).

Ability to develop automation tools / scripts in Bash or Go.

Fluent English communication skills (min. B2 level).

Ability to influence and bring people together around security best practices.
