We have a vacancy for a Sourcing Manager to join our Global Clinical Supplies Team in the EMEA region. This position can be office-based, hybrid, or fully home-based in several EMEA locations, including Spain and the UK.
Responsibilities :
- Sourcing Strategy Development
- Collaborate with the Sourcing Manager to develop sourcing strategies for clinical trial materials, services, and suppliers based on project requirements and organizational goals.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers / vendors that meet quality standards, cost-effectiveness, timelines, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze trends and forecast required products to anticipate market shortages and sourcing opportunities.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify potential risks associated with sourcing activities, develop risk mitigation strategies, and crisis management plans to minimize impact on clinical trial operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) throughout all procurement stages.
- Maintain up-to-date data on product availability and critical information.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with proposal development teams on tenders, cultivating relationships with manufacturers and wholesalers to provide value solutions.
- Coordinate with Operations, QA, QPs, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless integration of clinical trial supplies and services.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand project needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with Operations to ensure smooth transition from quotes / POs to delivery.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Identify process improvement opportunities within sourcing functions and propose automation or digitization solutions.
- Quality Management System
- Support investigations related to sourced pharmaceutical drugs, including customer complaints, deviations, or audits.
- Assist in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention strategies.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, supply chain management, life sciences, or related fields.At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, specifically in clinical supplies.Skills Required :
Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and best practices.Understanding of APAC & LATAM comparator markets.Experience with forecasting and strategic planning.Familiarity with clinical trial materials / services sourcing requirements.Proficiency in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Deep understanding of clinical trial sourcing processes and regulations.Excellent client relationship management skills.Fluent in English; the hiring process will be conducted in this language.What Cencora offers
