The mission of Speechify is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning.

Over 50 million people use Speechify’s text-to-speech products to turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio, enabling faster reading, more reading, and better retention. Today, nearly 200 people worldwide work remotely for Speechify, with no physical office. The team includes frontend and backend engineers, AI research scientists, and professionals from Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Stanford, Stripe, Vercel, Bolt, and other startups and entrepreneurs.

Overview

The Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining backend services such as payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text-to-speech, and external APIs. This role is ideal for someone strategic, fast-paced, passionate about user experience, and results-driven. We value a flat organization where leadership can emerge through technical excellence and consistent results. Our interview process includes multiple technical interviews, aiming to complete them within one week.

AI Data Team Role

We are hiring for our AI team’s data side, focusing on data collection to support model training. We build high-quality datasets at petabyte scale efficiently by integrating infrastructure, engineering, and research. We seek a skilled Software Engineer to join this effort.
