We recently closed a historic €671 million corporate financing with a group of leading national and international banks and institutional investors to accelerate our biomethane portfolio in Spain and Italy. Mission :
To ensure the viability and sustainability of the company's biomethane production projects by obtaining and maintaining the Social License to Operate (SLO). This is achieved through the design and execution of a proactive, transparent, and continuous relationship strategy with key local communities and territorial stakeholders, managing expectations and mitigating social and reputational risks
Responsibilities
- SLO Strategy Definition : Design and implement the strategic plan and roadmap for the Social License for each project and territory, aligning it with the corporate purpose.
- Risk Identification : Lead the early identification and continuous assessment of social and reputational risks (e.g., social opposition, organized contestation) associated with each project.
- Engagement Plans : Develop and adapt specific communication, participation, and consultation plans for each territory and stakeholder group.
- Team Support : Support the Development, Engineering, and Construction teams in integrating social considerations into all phases of the project.
- Dialogue Execution : Personally execute dialogue, negotiation, and project presentation actions in the field, serving as the main company interlocutor.
- Territorial Monitoring : Conduct frequent trips to the areas of influence to monitor public perception, manage concerns, and resolve conflicts.
- Reporting and Documentation : Rigorously and systematically document all interactions, commitments, and social risks for internal reporting to management.
Requirements
Education :
Bachelor's or University Degree in Social Sciences, Communications, International / Institutional Relations, Law, Political Science, or fields related to Sustainability.Postgraduate (Desirable) : Specialized training in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainability (ESG), or Social Conflict Management.Experience :
Minimum 3 to 5 years of demonstrable professional experience in Community Relations, Public Affairs, or Social License to Operate management roles, preferably in the Energy (Renewables, Biogas) or Infrastructure sectors.Proven experience in fieldwork (territory) and direct negotiation with communities.Technical Skills :
Proficiency in Office Automation tools (Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel).Languages :
B2 level (minimum) or higher, both spoken and written.Soft Skills
