Meridia is seeking to hire a highly motivated and committed Finance Associate to join the Finance Department of Meridia Capital Partners. The candidate will join an experienced and multidisciplinary team and will assume substantial responsibility from the very beginning even in the design of the planning processes, systems and tools. The position will be based in Barcelona.
The ideal candidate has at least 3 / 5 years of professional experience in finance, advisory or accounting (preferable ‘Big Four’), with proven outstanding financial skills. Experience in real estate would be an advantage but is not essential. Candidates must also have strong interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff. Please note that the role is focused on portfolio financial monitoring with limited exposure to investment and acquisition practice.
Job responsibilities :
- Support in the design, evaluation and implementation of new budget and forecasting processes, systems and tools.
- Coordinate with other business units in the quarterly update of the forecast.
- Analyzing financial data, identifying financial performance trends and financial risk, and making recommendations.
- Continuous monitoring of the profit and loss account and cash flow of the assets, companies and funds managed by Meridia.
- Develop, prepare and present quarterly and annual financial and operational reports, including variance analysis, cash flow management, forecasting and ad-hoc reports.
- Support the CFO and maintenance of Budget Tracking Tool entries, associated databases, spreadsheets, SharePoint folders, etc. gathering, analyzing and ensuring accuracy of data.
- Provide quantitative and qualitative data to support discussions and decision making at Management level.
- Review the annual accounts of the managed fund companies, as well as collaborating with the external auditing firm.
Skills required :
Multi Lingual : Spanish and English proficient required.Degree in Business Administration or Economics.Economic / Finance / MBA master desired.Minimum of 4 / 5 years experience in finance, audit or advisory (preferable ‘Big Four’).
