The start of the internship will be in early March 2026, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h / week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.
This internship will bring the applicant an experience inside a production environment within Planning and Scheduling WLC (Wing Lower Cover) department in Illescas (Toledo). We are in charge of preparing current and future production plannings / scenarios or recovery plans, taking into account all engineering and production inputs (workforce, strategy, machines, tooling), to ensure the deliveries in quality, time and cost. We manage also all operational logistics and based on daily work orders to be achieved, we secure that all required materials are available on time at the point of use :
The main task to be carried out inside the internship will be the following :
Strategically design and set up a material 'supermarket' or Kanban system to ensure material availability. The goal is to line up production capacity with customer demand and optimize the production flow (e.g., reduce WIP and lead times).
Develop scripts, programs, or routines to automate and improve production planning processes and the management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This includes creating dashboards and reports for better decision-making.
Evaluate existing logistics and planning tools, perform necessary upgrades, and link disparate systems to optimize all internal and external logistics movements (e.g., inventory tracking, material handling).
Provide daily support for work order management and inventory control / stock accuracy, always focused on continuous improvement initiatives
Strategic Capacity Planning and Scenario Modeling : Build and simulate different planning scenarios of material and capacity needs to effectively accomplish future production ramp-up phases and new product launches.
Documentation and Standardization : Document new processes and standardized work procedures (Standard Work) for planning and logistics activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Act as a liaison between the production, logistics, and engineering departments to resolve material shortages or planning conflicts
The tools to be used are the following : Google package, APC Jaguar (Planning), Heart (Planning&Scheduling), SAP&MES (Production management).
