Tenure-Track Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Medical Education

Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in the Bau Institute of Medical and Health Sciences Education, LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong (Ref. : ). The appointment is on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract, subject to satisfactory performance. The position may commence as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver courses to undergraduate medical students according to expertise.
• Conduct research within health sciences education.
• Contribute to the professional development of Faculty teachers and conduct medical education research and scholarship relating to e-learning activities of the Faculty.
• Provide training in clinical education to allied healthcare professionals in the region.
• Supervise student projects and theses.
• Take up administrative and / or clinical teaching duties as required.

Qualifications and experience

Appointment details

Three-year fixed-term contract with possibility of renewal and tenure consideration before the expiry of a second three-year contract, subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme and a contract-end gratuity may total up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits may be provided where applicable.
