Account Executive (m / w / d) - remote in Spain. This role is with a German Series A startup in the field of quantum computing (deep tech). The company specializes in the development of quantum algorithms tailored to specific applications and hardware, supporting industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and financial services. The goal is to make practical quantum computing accessible by significantly reducing the time required to achieve quantum advantage for real-world applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation : You use both innovative inbound and outbound sales strategies with a focus on the markets in Spain.
  • Sales strategy : You test and implement your sales strategy in collaboration with your colleagues.
  • Full cycle role : You approach inbound leads and actively contact dream clients and offer all products (MVPs to platform memberships to projects).
  • Strategic relationships : You build strong, forward-thinking relationships with executives, R&D specialists and project managers.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration : You will work closely with technical teams as well as marketing and legal experts to understand customer needs and gain valuable insights into product development.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience : More than 2 years of sales experience in a startup or deep tech environment, experience in closing complex deals (sales cycles 3 to 12 months, average ticket size €50k-€500k).
  • Academic qualifications : Degree in economics (e.g. business administration, sales, business development, marketing) or natural sciences (e.g. physics, chemistry, material science) or comparable qualification.
  • Start-up mindset : Action-oriented, adaptable and willing to take on different roles in a dynamic setup.
  • Language skills : Excellent command of English (C1–C2) and Spanish (C2).
  • Additional benefits (advantageous but not required) : Experience or good understanding of quantum computing or software.
