About the Role

A pioneering CO2 international energy storage business is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its Project Management & Construction Department and play a key role in delivering large-scale sustainable infrastructure projects worldwide.

Role Overview

The Site Manager will take ownership of the full site lifecycle—from mobilization through commissioning and demobilization—ensuring activities are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality and HSE standards. This role demands not only strong technical expertise across mechanical, electrical (HV), and civil disciplines, but also the ability to interface with clients, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams in an international environment.

Ideal candidates will bring a flexible, “free-spirit” mindset—comfortable travelling from project to project. as the ideal is to have this individual full-time as part of the business. Strong mechanical and electrical grounding and an understanding of how gases can be harnessed as an energy source are essential, as well as commercial awareness and client-facing skills to act as a trusted partner during project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of site activities, from setup / mobilization to demobilization.
  • Coordinate and oversee multidisciplinary teams (electrical HV, mechanical, civil, HSE, QA / QC).
  • Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards, construction permits, and commissioning practices.
  • Supervise contractors during construction, mechanical installation, and electrical works.
  • Interface with clients, acting as a commercial and technical partner to resolve issues and maintain alignment.
  • Monitor schedules and budgets, anticipate risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Approve and resolve site non-conformities (NCs) and ensure punch list closure.
  • Report progress and risks to the Project Manager and senior leadership.
  • Support commissioning teams, ensuring safe transitions to energization and testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • 8+ years of site management or construction leadership experience in LNG, oil and gas or power generation (involvement with gas turbines and experience using gas as a working fluid is highly desired)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with understanding of gas-based energy systems.
  • Proven experience coordinating across electrical HV, mechanical, and civil interfaces.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools (Primavera, MS Project).
  • Strong client-facing and commercial acumen.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to travel extensively to international project sites.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
