Senior Software Engineer - DAM & MRM

The Digital Products, Platforms & Services team is a newly formed team within the Growth, Digital & Platforms (GDP) global function. It is responsible for designing, developing, and rolling out state-of-the-art digital products across brands, regions, and divisions worldwide, helping our brands accelerate organic growth.

THE JOB :

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Sr. Software Engineer with expertise in content-related tools such as DAM, PXM, PIM, CMS, and brand guidelines platforms. You will be part of our Content ecosystem team, helping define, build, and leverage standards across these tools to deliver seamless experiences to end users.

As a key member of the Content product technical team, you will collaborate with engineers, product owners, leads, and the broader scrum team to develop and integrate content technologies. Your focus will be on creating scalable, tool-agnostic solutions that ensure consistency and flexibility within our ecosystem.

This role requires extensive knowledge in building and improving products using SaaS tools, integrating them, and providing agnostic baselines to ensure the ecosystem is consistent, scalable, and decoupled from specific tools. Hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, and custom integrations on Azure Cloud is highly valuable.

Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, particularly Aprimo, is a strong plus. A deep understanding of DAM architecture and its integration within marketing and content workflows will be key. You will work closely with stakeholders across Mars Petcare to tailor our DAM product to meet global brand needs.

What are we looking for?

Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

5+ years of experience developing with SaaS tools.

Experience designing and developing integration architectures.

Strong understanding of backend frameworks and libraries (e.g., Django, Express.js); certifications are a plus.

Experience configuring, evolving, and maintaining SaaS products.

Hands-on expertise with RESTful API design principles.

Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI / CD pipelines.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with Aprimo or other DAM systems preferred.

Ability to document technical specifications clearly.

Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Implement best practices for development and configuration, focusing on quality, scalability, security, and performance.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize features.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Monitor KPIs related to content activities, providing insights and recommendations.

Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Partner with external vendors to enhance DAM & MRM capabilities.

Integrate backend systems with third-party APIs and services.

Optimize backend code for performance and scalability.

Participate in testing strategies to ensure reliability.

Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members.

Stay updated on backend development trends and technologies.

Troubleshoot and debug backend issues.

Work with product managers and engineers to define and prioritize features.

Deliver key capabilities such as digital asset workflows, brand guidelines tools, and large-scale asset upload solutions.

Contribute to CICD process improvements.

Participate in A / B testing and optimization efforts.

Be trained in SaaS platforms and act as a platform owner with the technical lead and solution architect.
