Your role

As a Lead Data Analyst you will help ensure that the business is making data-driven decisions across all stages of the product life cycle—from early-stage ROI modeling to designing, executing and analyzing product feature experiments that drive value in Rover’s marketplace. You will partner with a product team, collaborating directly with the product manager, designer, and engineers. You will lead in designing measurement frameworks and analyzing product changes to inform data-driven decision making. You will analyze business performance metrics on both the demand and supply sides of the marketplace and identify root causes of fluctuations. You will present trends and narratives of marketplace performance to the organization and collaborate to drive actions where needed.

This is a hybrid position with a minimum expectation to work out of our Barcelona Office in Poblenou two days per week (Mondays and Thursdays). Candidates must be based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Serve as an essential thought partner with product and design teams to own end-to-end analyses, including scoping, executing, and interpreting product feature experiments.
  • Present trends, insights, and drivers of marketplace performance to senior leadership, with clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Design and analyze A / B tests to measure the impact of product changes on customers and the business.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data infrastructure teams to ensure access to high-quality data.
  • Advance statistical rigor, increase experimentation throughput, and expand modeling capabilities within the analytics organization.

Your Qualifications :

  • 6+ years of experience using data to drive business impact, including identifying actionable insights and partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven expertise in A / B testing, statistical analysis, and experimental design.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and the ability to review and optimize code and collaborate with engineering on data models.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Mode) and turning complex data into intuitive visuals.
  • Familiarity with event-based datasets, Amazon Redshift, and DBT.
  • Nice to Have :

  • Mentoring experience with junior analysts and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in a two-sided marketplace.
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or similar languages.
  • Knowledge of product analytics tools (Amplitude) and event-based data.
