Company Description Porvapor Nordic Spa is set to open in December 2025 in Barcelona, offering a blend of traditional Nordic and Slavic sauna rituals with a modern culinary experience. Our spa welcomes up to 70 guests and provides rejuvenating experiences that combine century-old rituals with contemporary sophistication. The spa features Nordic saunas, steam rituals, soothing massages, and a Nordic-inspired culinary offering led by a Michelin-starred chef. Our mission is to create a sanctuary of cultural fusion, luxury, and authentic high-end experiences in the heart of Barcelona. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at Porvapor, located in Barcelona. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including preparing high-quality meals, overseeing kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The Sous Chef will also contribute to menu planning, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. This role is vital in delivering our Nordic-inspired culinary experience and maintaining our high standards of food quality and presentation. Qualifications Experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and management Proficiency in menu planning and inventory management Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to excellence Previous experience in a high-end or Michelin-starred restaurant is a plus Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is beneficial
