Battery Cell Purchasing Lead

We are currently working with an exciting fast growing automotive company based in Barcelona who are looking for an experienced Battery Cell Buyer to join their team and lead the purchasing of Battery Cells. This is a great position for someone looking to take full ownership of a crucial and growing commodity area.

The Role :

Build the supplier base for Battery Cells

Be totally responsible for strategy for the commodity area

Drive price negotiations with suppliers

Lead the vendor selection process with engineering teams

Work closely and collaboratively with other departments - Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Production Engineering, and Production

Reporting directly into the Purchasing Director

Requirements :

A minimum of 3 years experience sourcing battery cells, preferred within the automotive industry

Fluent in English, Spanish or Mandarin are a plus

A demonstrated history of cost savings, supplier base building and supplier industrialization
