Overview

Join EPAM Systems as a Senior SAP Basis Engineer in Madrid. This hybrid role is based in the heart of Madrid and targets private banking technology. We are seeking a collaborative team member with exceptional communication skills, engineering expertise, and a B2+ / C1 English level to facilitate effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including ERP R3 & S / 4HANA, BW, and HCM
  • Plan and implement SAP system upgrades, patches, and enhancements
  • Monitor system performance and optimize for efficient operations
  • Troubleshoot and solve SAP Basis-related issues
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans
  • Configure and oversee system monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues promptly
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures comprehensively
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to support SAP projects and changes
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and industry standards

Requirements

  • BSc / MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Background in SAP System Administration with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Expertise in SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and other SAP products
  • Proficiency in administering Unix / Linux and Windows environments
  • Familiarity with SAP tools such as SAP Solution Manager
  • Knowledge of database administration, including Oracle, HANA, and SQL Server
  • Understanding of networking, security protocols, and performance tuning
  • Competency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Knowledge of SAP S / 4HANA and Fiori
  • Understanding of SAP Security concepts and authorizations
  • Qualifications in SAP System Administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Capability to work independently as well as within a team
