Overview

For a leader in telecommunications infrastructure we are recruiting a Systems Architect for their headquarters in Madrid.

Are you a visionary IT Systems Architect ready to lead the future of telecom infrastructure? We’re looking for a talented professional to head our systems department, driving innovation across infrastructure, corporate communications, cloud environments (AWS & Azure), and cybersecurity. This is a key leadership role where you’ll shape strategy, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure optimal performance while driving cost efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and execute the IT systems strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Lead internal and external teams, driving performance and motivation.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of hardware and software systems, ensuring security and availability.
  • Oversee backlog, project planning, and tracking.
  • Resolve technical incidents and liaise with vendors.
  • Research and implement cutting-edge technologies to stay ahead of the market.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and ENS standards.
  • Manage budgets (OPEX & CAPEX) and maximize ROI.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS / Azure Architect, ITIL (desirable).
  • 4+ years as a Systems Architect or similar role, leading teams of 4+ people.
  • Experience in telecommunications industry.
  • Solid knowledge of Cloud (AWS & Azure), networks, microservices, virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong background in cybersecurity and information security audits.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of English, spoken and written.
