Responsibilities
- Supporting the Branch Manager and reporting directly to him
- Collaborate with individual Account Managers to create and execute sales plans that align with the company’s commercial strategy and achieve targeted revenue and margins.
- Responsible for setting sales targets and helping and supporting the sales team in generating leads and enquiries on all products.
- Develop, steer and monitor sales plans for the branch, gathering market data & trends together with the sales team to analyse & steer for the best market & stakeholder approach.
- Annual sales and key account plans are created and aligned with performance targets, the company’s global strategy, and stakeholders within the branch.
- Lead, coach, and support the sales team in developing the skills necessary to excel individually and collectively.
- Advise the branch manager on the yearly budget plan regarding turnover, gross margin part & sales costs and execute this plan.
- As a member of the local management team, contribute actively to the overall strategy of the branch and its execution from a sales management perspective.
- Provide direction and leadership to the sales team so that the team operates in line with the local and global sales strategy and is aware of the latest strategic, organisational, product and market developments.
- Identify and initiate improvements in the sales processes, ensuring that sales systems, procedures and processes are continuously monitored and optimised to achieve objectives efficiently and effectively.
- Clarify tasks, authorities and responsibilities of all stakeholders in the Sales (and Operations) processes in line with global guidelines.
- Develop and implement sales strategy, formulate sales plans, set measurable goals and establish a budget to guide the sales team and expand market share.
- Track and analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Participate in broader business planning, including commercial strategy, budgeting, and mid‑term planning.
- Implement pricing policies and contract negotiations to maximise sales volumes and long‑term profitability.
- Apply consultative sales that improve customer profitability and consistently meet corporate sales targets.
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives, establishing sales targets, forecasts, and performance metrics for the sales team.
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills (in Spanish and English)
- Demonstrate strong time management, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Leverage digital proficiency in CRM systems, webstores, social media platforms and Microsoft Office Suite to manage customer data and drive sales.
- Integrate digital tools into sales strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Horticulture, Agriculture or related post‑secondary education.Industry knowledge and experience in agriculture, horticulture, greenhouses or on‑farm environments – strong advantage.Solid ability to understand market trends, customer challenges and product knowledge.Additional leadership training is considered an asset.At least 10 years of experience in sales and team management, including recent leadership roles.Performance‑motivated leader who fosters individual and team growth.Self‑driven, professional and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.Strong sales strategy and business acumen.Benefits
