Senior Software Engineer / Team Lead

Software Engineering Lead (Python TypeScript) Madrid to €120k

Are you a technology leader, who enjoys liaising with clients, looking for a new opportunity? You could be joining a FinTech start‑up within the consulting division of the Madrid office, the company has secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client as a partner.

As a Software Engineering Lead you'll design and implement the logic behind core applications, build APIs and microservices that handle data processing, business rules and third‑party integrations and oversee the configuration and upkeep of secure, reliable server environments.

You will be a technical leader, instilling best practices, conducting code reviews, mentoring and collaboratively problem solving to help your team remove any blockers and deliver high quality software.

You’ll join colleagues in the Madrid office on a full‑time basis (Monday to Friday), working hours with some flexibility.

You have studied at a top 10 university in Spain (or top 200 globally) and have achieved 9.0 and above in Bachillerato and 7.0 and above in University - Computer Science or Mathematics preferred.

You have strong software engineering experience with Python, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, CI / CD, Cloud, DevOps.

You have a good knowledge of modern software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle.

You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms.

You have fluent English language skills.
